This secluded sanctuary is a luxury Bed and Breakfast establishment that has an excellent reputation amongst many discerning guests.  Within 10 minutes driving you are at the first set of lights, and in another 15 – 20 minutes you are at the Mt Maunganui beaches or amongst the hustle and bustle of Tauranga City.  Fine dining and exclusive boutique shopping await our guests at both locations.

Tauranga Lodge sits on 4 ½ acres of farmland in Ohauiti Tauranga –  far enough from the twinkling city lights to feel like a rural escape, yet close enough to allow views of cargo ships and cruise liners navigating Tauranga waters.

The view from Tauranga Lodge B & B is pure magic with a panorama that spans extensive lawns, rolling countryside, Tauranga city, Mauao (The Mount), stunning beaches and plenty of Pacific Blue beyond. On a clear day this vista includes Coromandel Peninsula and the wildlife sanctuaries of Karewa Island and the Alderman Islands, as well as the Mayor Island Marine Reserve.

Accommodation options comprise of three tastefully and individually themed guest suites. A guest lounge, complete with fireplace, offers a cosy ambience; while on sunny days, the guests’ private outdoor area is a favoured relaxation destination.

Booking’s are arranged through our own website, thus allowing us the ability to manage the number of guests, and at no time do we “book out”  all three suites, which allows for an intimate stay in almost exclusive accommodation

Tauranga Lodge is an inviting, comfortable and relaxing place to stay and rest awhile. It’s also well positioned to provide a base from which to explore the many delights of the aptly named Bay of Plenty and its neighbouring districts.

Travel to the tourist mecca of Rotorua, take a trip out to White Island, head up the coast to Coromandel taking in the Karangahake Gorge and Waihi gold mines on the way, travel inland to the Waitomo Caves or the Hobbiton Movie set in Matamata. Closer to home and only minutes away are Mauao and the Papamoa Hills – the views from both are awe-inspiring. And, of course, some of New Zealand’s best beaches are on the doorstep. Tauranga and Mount Maunganui also offer many fine dining establishments and cafes. What to do?… there’s plenty.
